Yaroslaw V. Stawnychy, D.D.S. completed his primary and secondary Education in New York City, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from The City College of the City University of New York. He completed his dental education at New York University College of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Following dental school, Dr. Stawnychy served two years as a captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps at Ft. Bragg, N.C. After military service, Dr. Stawnychy started his private practice of general dentistry in Rutherford, NJ, which he maintains to this day. Dr. Stawnychy was a clinical instructor at Farleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry, and was admitted as a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Academy of Gnathologic Orthopedics, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, American Dental Association and state and local dental societies. Dr. Stawnychy is married to Olga and they have a son, Misho.

Olga Stawnychy, our Office Manager, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education specializing in Early Childhood Education from The City College of the City University of New York and was a teacher in the New York City and North Carolina educational system. Olga also received a Master of Business Administration degree from Farleigh Dickinson University and a Realtor license, which she maintains to this day. Olga was active in the Women’s Rights Movement, was a representative of an N.G.O. at the U.N. and is still active in women’s organizations and is on the Board of Directors of The Ukrainian Museum of New York.

Gayle Cattafi, RDH/PT, our Hygienist, graduated Bergen Community College with an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences and continued her education at Montclair University. Every year Gayle fulfills 30—40 hours of continuing education with a focus on Periodontal Disease. She is very passionate about her work. Gayle married her soul mate, Matthew and they have two beautiful children, Emma & Jack.
